Lico Whitfield comes to the Classical Theater of Harlem after having previously served as a Production Manager at The Public Theater where he was an active member of the theater’s cultural transformation committee.  Prior to his time at The Public he was the Associate Producer for the Atlantic Acting School and Producing Director for The Amoralists where he founded the group’s playwright group, ‘Wright Club. During his time working with Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theater Company, Lico was instrumental in launching the national August Wilson Monologue Competition for high school students. Lico holds an MFA in Theater Management from the Yale School of Drama and a BFA from Rutgers, Mason Gross School for the Arts.
