REIMAGINING THE PAST, IGNITING THE FUTURE

MARCH 21, 7 PM  |  THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. JOHN THE DIVINE

A HARLEM RENAISSANCE CELEBRATION FEATURING A DISCUSSION WITH EXPERTS AND ARTISTS, PLUS A JAW-DROPPING MUSICAL PERFORMANCE

A celebration of Harlem’s history and innovation!

“Renaissance Reborn: Remembering the Past, Igniting the Future” features a special panel discussion and performance, celebrating the rich cultural legacy and future of Harlem on the 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance.

In honor of CTH’s 25th Anniversary Season, the evening will explore the continued inspiration of the 1920s Harlem Renaissance as we prepare to kick off our summer production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, reimagined with the sights and sounds of that vibrant era. Enjoy a musical performance from CTH’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, led by powerhouse vocalist Mykal Kilgore.

This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
