The Classical Theatre of Harlem presents Will Power’s MEMNON, the East-Coast Premiere

An exhilarating new epic resurrects the story of Memnon, the Ethiopian king and demigod who rides to Troy’s defense, through Will Power’s rhythmic verse, pulse-quickening choreography and music. Fresh from a celebrated debut at the Getty Villa, MEMNON re-imagines a lost chapter of the Trojan War.

Eric Berryman*
Memnon

Eric is a Baltimore born, Brooklyn based actor who is involved in work he believes his great-grandmother would dig. He won an Audelco Award-Best Featured Actor for the world premiere production of the now Pulitzer winning play Primary Trust (Roundabout). Last year he starred in several world premiere productions: Memnon (Classical Theatre of Harlem/Getty Villa); The Ford/Hill Project (Waterwell/The Public Theater); Galilee, 34 (South Coast Rep). Other Select Theatrical Credits: The B-Side: “Negro Folklore from Texas State Prisons” A Record Album Interpretation (Wooster Group-Drama Desk Nomination); Toni Stone (Roundabout); Detroit Red (ArtsEmerson-Elliot Norton Award); Steel Hammer (SITI COMPANY). Jesse Corbin*
Achilles

While originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Jesse considers NYC home. Jenna Kulacz
Assistant Choreographer / Ensemble

Jenna Kulacz, a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Westchester, New York, graduated summa cum laude from Elon University with a BFA in Dance Performance & Choreography. As a professional dancer, Jenna has performed with a variety of companies and choreographers, including Pilobolus, EMERGE125, Gaspard&Dancers, Christal Brown’s INSPIRIT at the Kennedy Center, and Kristin Sudeikis Dance at Rockefeller Center. Most recently, she performed in The Classical Theater of Harlem’s world premiere production of Memnon at the Getty in Los Angeles. Jenna has performed Rea-Fisher’s adaptation of Gian Carlo Menotti’s “The Unicorn, the Gorgon, and the Manticore” alongside the New York Choral Society and Experimental Orchestra and has recently appeared in Public Works’ The Tempest, directed by Laurie Woolery, as a featured cameo dancer at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. She has also worked with a variety of New York project-based companies in performances including the Harlem Dance Festival and with AThomasProject at Bryant Park Summer Performing Arts Series.

Jenna is currently a company member with EMERGE125, a NASM-certified fitness trainer, NYCDA Assistant, and teaches at Steps on Broadway and other studios across the country.

Madelyn LaLonde
Dance Captain / Ensemble

Madelyn LaLonde, a Houston native, holds a BFA in Dance and a minor in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase, where she performed works by Merce Cunningham, Norbert De La Cruz III, and others. Now in her seventh season with EMERGE125 under the artistic direction of Tiffany Rea-Fisher, she has toured nationally and internationally with the company, including performances in upstate New York, Washington, DC, Canada, and Alaska. Notable venues include the Flea Theater, National Gallery of Art, El Museo del Barrio, and Bryant Park. Additional credits include ensemble roles in the Classical Theatre of Harlem’s The Bacchae (2019) and Twelfth Night (2022). Madelyn also served as Rea-Fisher’s Associate Choreographer for The Public Theater’s musical adaptation of The Tempest (2023) at the Delacorte Theater as part of the Public Works program. Most recently, she assisted in setting Rea-Fisher’s Tilted Arc at Marymount Manhattan College (2025).

Alyssa Manginaro
Ensemble

Alyssa Manginaro, a Queens native, began her training at LaGuardia High School, where she studied Graham and Horton under renowned instructors. She earned her BFA in Dance from Adelphi University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2020, and performed works by William Briscoe, Orion Duckstein, and Juan Rodriguez. Alyssa also studied abroad at London Contemporary Dance School, training in Gaga, Ballet, and Flying Low. A certified Pilates instructor through The Pilates Standard, she teaches at Pilates in Port. In her fourth year with EMERGE125, Alyssa is thrilled to be joining this summer’s CTH production!!

Caitlyn Morgan
Ensemble

Born and raised in California, Caitlyn Morgan graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Irvine with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Education Sciences. She trained with Jonathan Alsberry, Katarzyna Skarpetowska, and Charlotte Griffin, and completed intensives with BODYTRAFFIC, NW Dance Project, and LACDC. In 2019, she moved to NYC to apprentice with Elisa Monte Dance under Tiffany Rea-Fisher. Some of her favorite performance venues include National Gallery of Art, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Delacorte Theater. Caitlyn is thrilled to be in her sixth season with EMERGE125 and perform in her first CTH production.

Erik Penrod Osterkil
Ensemble

Erik Penrod Osterkil is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has a degree in dance with a concentration in composition from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, and he studied abroad at the Taipei National University of the Arts. He has danced professionally for companies including EMERGE125, KAOS Dance Collective, and FLOCK; as a guest artist, he regularly performs across the country in classical ballet productions.

Tiffany “2Ts” Terry
Ensemble

Tiffany “2Ts” Terry, born in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., earned her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography with a minor in Disability Studies from East Carolina University in 2020. She performed works by Shay Kuebler and Mark Dendy at ADF’s Footprints. Tiffany trained at Trinity Laban in London and studied Kidd Pivot repertoire with Cindy Salgado in Perth, AU. Now in her fourth season, Tiffany is excited to continue her journey with the EMERGE125 family.

Travon Williams
Ensemble

Travon M. Williams (Chicago, IL) began his formal dance training in the Joffrey Community Engagement program under Pierre Lockett. He graduated from Chicago High School for the Arts and trained at the Chicago MultiCultural Dance Center, Ballet Chicago, and Deeply Rooted. Mr. Williams is also a graduate of The Ailey School Certificate Program. Where he transitioned into Ailey II and became a guest artist with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He also was a dancer with The Martha Graham Dance Company. He has performed works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Amy Hall, William Forsythe, Kevin Iega, Camille Brown, Yusha-Marie Sorzano, Omar Roman de Jesus, Alvin Ailey, and Martha Graham.He has also performed in “Fire Shut In My Bones “ at The Metropolitan Opera. Currently, he is a valued company member with “ Emerge125 “ under the direction of Tiffany Rae-Fisher, continuing to expand his artistic horizons.

Briana Marsiello
Ensemble Understudy

Briana Marsiello, originally from northern New Jersey, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University in 2019 with a BFA in Dance Performance. During her studies, she performed works by Fredrick Earl Mosley, Maxine Steinman, and others. Now in her second season with EMERGE125, Briana has performed at El Museo del Barrio, the National Gallery of Art, NYU Skirball Center, and The Flea Theater and more. She recently toured Alaska with the company, engaging in performance, teaching, and outreach. Briana is excited to join The Classical Theatre of Harlem this summer for their production of Memnon.

Cate Alston (She/Her) is a Brooklyn-based Actor & Costume Designer. Cate graduated from the University at Albany in 2020, earning a B.A in Theatre and Psychology. She is currently obtaining her MFA in the Graduate Acting program at NYU. Whether she is performing on stage or designing a show, the primary focus of Cate’s work is to reveal the details of humanity. She is a proud member of The Makers Ensemble, which is an organization that uplifts and cultivates early career multi-hyphenate artists. Israel Erron Ford*

Israel Erron Ford is honored to return to CTH, most recognizably as Feste in Twelfth Night, after understudying in the West Coast premiere of this groundbreaking telling at the Getty Villa. A proud alum of Yale School of Drama and Carnegie Mellon, recent credits include The Winter’s Tale (Skylight Theatre Co.), Jesus Christ Superstar (The Fulton), Hot Wing King (Hartford Stage & Baltimore Center Stage), and The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse). On screen, he recurs as Ronnie on HBO Max’s Rap Sh!t. Deep gratitude to Will Power for breathing life into Memnon’s long-silenced legacy, and to CTH for continuing to make space for stories as bold, Black, and epic as this one.

Carl Cofield is the Chair of Graduate Acting at NYU and Associate Artistic Director of the award-winning Classical Theatre of Harlem. His directing credits include the world premiere of The XIXth by Kemp Powers for the Old Globe, Seize the King and The Bacchae (both New York Times Critics Picks), MEMNON (Getty Villa), One Night in Miami (Rogue Machine, Denver Center), and King Lear starring André De Shields (St. Louis Shakespeare) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (CTH) Other regional credits include A Raisin in the Sun and an Afro-futuristic Twelfth Night (Yale Rep and CTH), Disgraced (Denver Center), and The Mountaintop (Cleveland Play House). Cofield helmed The Princeton and Slavery Plays at McCarter Theatre, collaborating with renowned playwrights like Jackie Sibblies Drury and Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins. Tiffany Rea-Fisher

TIFFANY REA-FISHER, Artistic Director of EMERGE125, is a NDP Award winner, a 2022 Creatives Rebuild New York Grantee, a 7-time consecutive AUDELCO Award nominee, a 2021 Toulmin Creator and 2022 Toulmin Fellow, a National Dance Project Awardee, a John Brown Spirit Award recipient, and was personally awarded a citation from the City of New York for her cultural contributions. Rea-Fisher has been commissioned by Dance Theater of Harlem, Dallas Black Dance Theater, NYC Department of Transportation, Utah Repertory Theater, The National Gallery of Art in D.C. Her choreography has been produced in NYC at the Joyce, the Apollo, Joe’s Pub, Aaron Davis Hall, and New York Live Arts. She curates the Bryant Park Picnic Performances Summer Dance Series, and also is the Executive Director of the Adirondack Diversity Initiative. She is honored to be the Resident Choreographer of Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH).

Frederick Kennedy is a Canadian-American sound designer, musician, and composer. Previously with Classical Theatre of Harlem: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, MalvolioTwelfth NightSeize the King, The Bacchae. Other recent work: It’s a Wonderful Life, a Live Radio Play (Hartford Stage), The Power of the Dog (Juilliard), The Folks at Home (Baltimore Center Stage), Kisses Through the Glass (audio play for Two River Theater), The Forbidden City (audio play for Lincoln Center Theatre), Native Son (Acting Company), Rest (online immersive audio experience for Ma-Yi Studios). ty ruwe (they/them) is a rising third-year M.F.A. candidate at the David Geffen School of Drama, where their credits include HELLYOUTALMBOUT, Pearl’s Beauty Salon, Hamlet, princesa de Dinamarca, Charity, and Silence/The Village as well as My Six Therapists, The Aughts, seven methods of killing kylie jenner, and Witch at Yale Cabaret. Other credits include Macbeth in Stride (Yale Rep); The Pirates of Penzance (Cape Repertory Theatre); Fairview (Speakeasy Stage Company); honeyhole (MoonBox Productions, Boston New Works Festival); The Half-Life of Marie Curie, and Ada and the Engine (Central Square Theater). ty received their B.A. in psychology from Smith College.

 

Morgan Grant
Production Assistant

Morgan is a NYC-based Stage Manager. She is currently the Production Stage Manager of Off-Broadway’s The Office! A Musical Parody, as well as Co-Stage Manager of Friends! The Musical Parody and Singfeld! A Musical Parody About Nothing. Last year she worked with Classical Theater of Harlem on MEMNON before its run at The Getty, and Broadway Bares: Hit The Strip!. Morgan has toured (A)way Out of My Body with David Dorfman Dance, and worked with Smith Street Stage, artist Jim Watt, and TedxAsbury. Morgan just graduated with her MFA in Stage Management from Columbia University in May.
